Experience & qualifications

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the fitness or service industry.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of fitness industry trends.

Opening and Closing Procedures:

  • Oversee and ensure the effective opening and closing of the gym according to set schedules.
  • Implement and enforce security protocols during opening and closing hours.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
  • Analyze market trends and competition to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with the management team to set long-term goals and objectives.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, motivate, and supervise all gym staff, including floor trainers and member service representatives.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings for training, updates, and performance reviews.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that aligns with the gym’s values.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring a seamless and efficient gym experience for members.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, facilities, and overall cleanliness standards.
  • Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations and gym policies.
  • Oversees staff and fulfills staffing needs for regular hours, as well as special events or high-traffic times.
  • Maintains and motivates a positive sales team through communication, incentives, and evaluations.
  • Confirms daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensures monies are deposited regularly, and reports are submitted as prescribed by company policies.
  • Ensures inventory data is correct by performing spot inventory counts and checks.
  • Collaborates with regional managers and owners to develop, coordinate, and identify cost-effective advertising and hiring strategies.

Financial Management:

  • Manage budgets, expenses, and financial reports.
  • Implement pricing and promotional strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as needed.

Member Engagement:

  • Resolve member concerns and inquiries promptly.
  • Implement member retention strategies and programs.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotional activities.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with corporate leadership to align branch goals with overall company objectives.
  • Collaborate with marketing to plan and execute effective advertising and promotional strategies.
